What personal data do we process?

This website collects as little personal data as possible. We process the following data:

  • IP address — automatically processed by our hosting provider (Vercel) in server logs for security and availability.
  • Email correspondence — when you contact us by email, we process your name and email address in order to respond to your request.

What we do not do

  • We do not place cookies without your consent (see the “Cookies and Microsoft Clarity” section below).
  • We do not display advertisements.
  • We do not use AI systems that apply automated decision-making to visitors.
  • We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Vercel Web Analytics

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to track visitor statistics. Vercel Analytics is designed privacy-first and:

  • Does not collect IP addresses — analytics data is fully anonymised
  • Does not place cookies — sessions are determined via a hash that is valid for a maximum of 24 hours
  • No cross-site tracking — only page views, referrers and device type (desktop/mobile) are measured
  • Data processing — Vercel processes analytics data in the US under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework
  • Retention period — analytics data is retained for 24 hours for session detection

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — understanding website usage to improve the user experience. Due to full anonymisation and the absence of cookies, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive.

Cookies and consent

In addition to strictly necessary cookies, we may place optional cookies grouped into categories (such as Statistics and Marketing). These are only placed after you give consent via the cookie banner; you can choose per category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. The tools we currently use are listed below.

Microsoft Clarity (category: Statistics)

This website may use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site (for example through heatmaps and anonymous session views) so we can improve the user experience. Clarity places analytics cookies for this purpose. We only load Clarity after you have given explicit consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, Clarity is not loaded and no Clarity cookies are placed.

When you give consent, the following cookies may be placed:

  • _clck — stores a pseudonymous user ID to recognise returning visitors (first-party, approx. 1 year).
  • _clsk — links page views within a single session (first-party, approx. 1 day).
  • CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, MR, SM — cookies set by Microsoft for identification and synchronisation across Microsoft domains (third-party, various retention periods).

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. More information about these cookies is available in the Microsoft Clarity cookie documentation.

Google Analytics 4 (category: Statistics)

This website may use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised visitor statistics (for example which pages are visited and via which source) so we can improve the site. Google Analytics places analytics cookies for this purpose. We only load Google Analytics after you have given explicit consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no Google cookies are placed.

When you give consent, the following cookies may be placed:

  • _ga — distinguishes visitors with a pseudonymous ID (first-party, approx. 2 years).
  • _ga_<container-id> — stores the session state for Google Analytics 4 (first-party, approx. 2 years).

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. More information is available in the Google Analytics cookie overview.
